How Bliss Legal Studio, PC collects, uses, and protects personal information on this website.
Effective date: April 23, 2026. Last updated: April 23, 2026.
1. About this Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Bliss Legal Studio, PC ("we," "our," or "us") collects, uses, discloses, and safeguards personal information in connection with the website at blisslegalstudio.com (the "Site"). It also describes the rights available to California residents under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (collectively, the "CCPA"). This Policy applies only to personal information collected through the Site. Information you share with us in the course of legal representation, or that we receive while evaluating a potential engagement, is protected by the California Rules of Professional Conduct, applicable privilege and work product doctrines, and your written engagement agreement, not by this Policy.
2. Categories of Personal Information We Collect
In the preceding twelve (12) months, we have collected the following categories of personal information, as those categories are defined in California Civil Code section 1798.140: (a) Identifiers, such as name, email address, telephone number (if provided), and IP address; (b) Internet or other electronic network activity information, such as browser type, device type, operating system, referring URL, pages viewed, and timestamps; (c) Geolocation information, limited to approximate location derived from IP address, used for security and aggregate analytics; (d) Professional or employment-related information, only where you voluntarily include it in an inquiry. We do not collect sensitive personal information as defined by the CCPA through the Site.
3. Sources of Personal Information
We obtain personal information from the following sources: (a) Directly from you, when you submit a contact form or email the firm; (b) Automatically from your device, when you interact with the Site; (c) From our service providers, including our web host and analytics provider (Cloudflare).
4. Business and Commercial Purposes
We use personal information to: respond to inquiries and communications you send to us; evaluate potential engagements and perform conflicts checks as required by the California Rules of Professional Conduct; maintain, secure, debug, and improve the Site; detect and prevent fraud or unauthorized access; comply with applicable legal, regulatory, and ethical obligations, including recordkeeping obligations; and for internal analytics to understand how the Site is used.
5. How We Share Personal Information
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined by the CCPA. We have not sold or shared personal information in the preceding twelve (12) months. We may disclose personal information to service providers (such as Cloudflare), legal and regulatory authorities when required by law, and successors in a merger or acquisition subject to confidentiality obligations.
6. Cookies and Similar Technologies
The Site uses a limited set of cookies and similar technologies. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless, and Cloudflare's security infrastructure, which may set short-lived, strictly necessary cookies to distinguish humans from automated traffic. We do not use advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, or cross-context behavioral advertising technologies. See our Cookie Policy for details.
7. Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy and to comply with applicable legal, ethical, and recordkeeping obligations, including the two-year advertising record retention required by California Rule of Professional Conduct 7.2. We securely destroy personal information when it is no longer needed.
8. Your California Privacy Rights
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know, right to delete, right to correct, right to opt out of sale or sharing (we do not sell or share), right to limit use of sensitive personal information (we do not collect it), and right to non-discrimination. We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal as a valid opt-out request. To exercise any right, email info@blisslegalstudio.com with "California Privacy Request" in the subject line. We will respond to verifiable requests within forty-five (45) days.
9. Children's Privacy
The Site is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13 in compliance with COPPA, and we do not knowingly sell or share personal information of minors under 16.
10. Do-Not-Track Signals
Some browsers transmit "do not track" signals. Because there is no industry standard for how to respond to these signals, we do not act on them. We do, however, honor the Global Privacy Control signal described above.
11. California Shine the Light
California Civil Code section 1798.83 permits California residents to request certain information regarding our disclosure of personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. We do not disclose personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes.
12. Security
We maintain reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee the security of information transmitted over the internet.
13. Third-Party Links
The Site may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those websites. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any third-party website you visit.
14. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, service providers, or applicable law. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the date of the most recent revision.
